Garfield Ridge neighborhood watch group started in 2009 after an incident with a gang Banger jumping a teen and stealing his cell phone. That prompted a group of seven people to Help the police be the eyes and the ears of the community. It has since grown to 120 members of community residences patrolling the streets of Garfield Ridge during the week and weekends morning noon and night The Garfield Ridge neighborhood watch group is credited with helping to reduce crime by over 30%. Today the watch group has become more involved in community events and community issues to help make Garfield Ridge a great and safer place to live and Raise a family.
